Post-Digital Strategies of Appropriation}, year = {2019}, note = {THE 577}, publisher = {Walter de Gruyter}, organization = {Walter de Gruyter}, address = {Berlin/Boston}, abstract = {Die Praxis des Kopierens ist sowohl im digitalen Bereich als auch in der analogen Welt allgegenw{\"a}rtig und doch unsichtbar geworden. Das kunstbasierte Forschungsprojekt originalcopy - Postdigitale Strategien der Aneignung unterzieht die Dichotomie von Original und Kopie einer Neubewertung aus postdigitaler Perspektive und beleuchtet dieses widerspr{\"u}chliche Ph{\"a}nomen. Die zugrundeliegende performative Forschung konzentriert sich auf die Spannungen zwischen der vermeintlichen Immaterialit{\"a}t digitaler Technologien und ihren materiellen Manifestationen, indem sie sich zeitgen{\"o}ssische Methoden des Kopierens aneignet und sie k{\"u}nstlerischen Transformations- und {\"U}bersetzungsprozessen aussetzt. originalcopy interessiert sich weniger f{\"u}r die Ergebnisse, die sich aus dem doppelten Akt des Kopierens von Kopierstrategien ergeben, sondern vielmehr f{\"u}r die Prozesse und Arbeitsmodelle, die zu ihnen f{\"u}hren. _________________________________________ The practice of copying has become omnipresent yet invisble, both in the digital realm and in the analog world. The arts-based research project originalcopy - Post-Digital Strategies of Appropriation subjects the dichotomy of original and copy to a re-evaluation from a post-digital perspective and sheds light on this contradictory phenomenon. The underlying performative research focuses on the tensions between the supposed immateriality of digital technologies and their material manifestations by appropriating contemporary methods of copying and exposing them to artistic processes of transformation and translation. originalcopy is less interested in the results derived from the double act of copying copying strategies, rather the processes and working models that lead to them. }, keywords = {Digital, Digitalisierung, Kopie, Theorie, Universit{\"a}t f{\"u}r angewandte Kunst Wien}, issn = {978-3-11-063215-6}, author = {Kargl, Michael and Thalmair, Franz} }
