@book {3056, title = {Care in Practice. On Tinkering in Clinics, Homes and Farms}, year = {2010}, note = {THE 548 }, publisher = {transcript}, organization = {transcript}, address = {Bielefeld}, abstract = {Inwiefern ist "Pflege" eine Angelegenheit des "Bastelns"? Anstatt Care als eine (m{\"o}glichst "warme") Beziehung zwischen Menschen darzustellen, geben die verschiedenen Beitr{\"a}ge des Bandes der (meist als "kalt" besetzten) materiellen Welt einen prominenten Platz in ihrer Analyse. So setzt dieses Buch Care und Technologie nicht weiter gegeneinander, sondern tr{\"a}gt dazu bei, beide so zu {\"u}berdenken, dass sie gemeinsam analysiert werden k{\"o}nnen. Technik wird nicht als funktionales, leicht zu kontrollierendes Werkzeug dargestellt - sie ist beweglich, ver{\"a}nderlich, {\"u}berraschend und anpassungsf{\"a}hig. In der Pflegepraxis wird st{\"a}ndig an allen "Dingen" herumgebastelt (und muss es auch). Auch das Wissen ist flie{\ss}end. Statt einer Reihe allgemeiner Regeln ist das f{\"u}r die Pflegepraxis relevante Wissen (im Plural) ebenso anpassungsf{\"a}hig und anpassungsbed{\"u}rftig wie die beteiligten Technologien, die K{\"o}rper, die Menschen und das t{\"a}gliche Leben. ________________ In what way is {\guillemotright}care{\guillemotleft} a matter of {\guillemotright}tinkering{\guillemotleft}? Rather than presenting care as a (preferably {\guillemotright}warm{\guillemotleft}) relation between human beings, the various contributions to the volume give the material world (usually cast as {\guillemotright}cold{\guillemotleft}) a prominent place in their analysis. Thus, this book does not continue to oppose care and technology, but contributes to rethinking both in such a way that they can be analysed together. Technology is not cast as a functional tool, easy to control {\textendash} it is shifting, changing, surprising and adaptable. In care practices all {\guillemotright}things{\guillemotleft} are (and have to be) tinkered with persistently. Knowledge is fluid, too. Rather than a set of general rules, the knowledges (in the plural) relevant to care practices are as adaptable and in need of adaptation as the technologies, the bodies, the people, and the daily lives involved. }, keywords = {Care, Demenz, Disability, Pflege, Sicherheit, Technocare}, issn = {978-3-8376-1447-3}, author = {Annemarie Mol Hg. and Ingunn Moser Hg. and Jeannette Pols Hg. and Janelle Taylor and John Law and Daniel L{\'o}pez and Blanca Call{\'e}n and Francisco Tirado and Miquel Dom{\`e}nech and Myriam Winance and Tiago Moreira and Hans Harbers and Jeannette Pols and Brit Ross Winthereik and Henriette Langstrup and Annemarie Mol and Vicky Singleton and Dick Willems and Ingunn Moser and Bernd Kraeftner and Judith Kroell and Isabel Warner} }
